About this event
In partnership with the York-Eglinton BIA and the office of Toronto City Councilor Josh Matlow, the Afro-Caribbean Farmers’ Market will take place this year at the culturally historic district known as Little Jamaica in Toronto. This unique farmers’ market is offering culturally appropriate fresh fruits, vegetables and natural products from the Caribbean and continental countries in Africa.
The objective of the market is to offer clean foods to the community and to support local black businesses in Toronto. It is also apart of the newly designated ‘Little Jamaica – Afro-Caribbean Cultural District. Caribbean Eats are working alongside the organizers and vendors of The Market to plant roots in the heart of the district.
Caribbean Eats will be selling fresh Caribbean fruits and vegetables such as yellow yam, sweet potatoes, avocadoes, green bananas, sugar cane, coconuts, breadfruit, soursop, mangos, aloe and sea moss. Come down to the market to take in the cool vibes, colorful vendors and great-tasting food!
